“Temperance of thought is what is needed in these hard economical times.” –Wind Horsley

Economy
The economy is slow and the media is hyping it up.  People are growing fearful and negative.  Remember that your mind controls more than you think it does, it has great power.  Do NOT give in to the negativity, fear and panic.  Know that you will be provided for, perhaps many will not be provided for in the way that they are used to, but provided for nonetheless.

The truth about the swine flu.

Please read the following from the CDC and educate yourself about the H1N1 virus, incorrectly being referred to as the “swine” flu. http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/qa.htm Always research facts instead of going on media hype, again temperance of the mind…

Reiki Masters/Practitioners Class

Wind Horsley and Temple of the Sage is proud to announce the first Reiki Masters/Practitioners class.  Class is full at this time.  The class will begin with a free introduction to Reiki class followed by levels I, II, and Masters level attunements.  I am proud to announce that I am in a space and have such a great set of students that I have found honoring to pass on the wisdom that IS Reiki!  I’m so thrilled these five students have chosen me and am very excited at the opportunity to see them grow and flourish as people and healers.

Going Green?

My Native American friends, hippie friends, earth loving friends, my friends and I have have been trying to educate for years.  About ten years ago, recycling finally kicked in with certain cities here in Georgia making recycling a mandatory garbage service while others (sadly my own town) you still have to pay extra for the service and it’s considered optional.  Now all of the sudden I see “go green” campaigns every where!  While I think that it is sad that things have already become so out of control, the go green campaigns brighten my heart. With Mother’s Day just past, remember we are united by one mother. Mother Earth has provided for us all, now do what you can and be still.

The Ugly Ducking?

Once upon a time when I was a teacher, my classroom kids found a caterpillar.  Being the “brilliant” teacher that I was, I decided to take the teachable moment on full thrust.  We found a small cage, filled it with leaves and sticks.  Made sure to sprinkle water in it every day.  I taught about the caterpillar process, about how it would soon spin a silk cocoon around itself and would turn into a butterfly.  I promised the kids that it would turn into a beautiful butterfly. I promised.  Weeellll, this particular caterpillar ended up emerging as an ugly brown hairy moth.  As a TRULY brilliant teacher, I took the REALLY teachable moment to share with my kids that not everything is as it seems and that all walks of life are beautiful.  Everything has it’s place.

Empower yourself

Every day as I go through my “mundane” life I see so many lost souls.  Of course I’d love to save every one of them, the whole world in fact, but as a seasoned healer, I do nothing until asked.  Even then, sometimes souls are reaching out but are afraid of change.  My Dad used to make me listen to self-empowering tapes and it made me angry.  Itmeant that I had some kind of flaw.  I was a teenager and it was just plain ~lame?~ After the WISE kicked in, I saw what he was trying to do.  It started small with me when I became serious about it.  I simply looked at myself in the mirror, lookedME right in the eye and told myself nothing butcompliments.  Small baby steps.  Before long, I became empowered.  I will end with this note.  I challenge you to do something to empower yourself every day.

Om Shanti
